I started sewing when I was very young. My first quilt I made for my dolls. My mother helped me, of course, since I was only 5 years old. I wanted to learn to use my mother's sewing machine, but that was completely off limits. As I got a little older, I still wanted to sew, but still not being able to use the sewing machine I was limited on what I could create. One summer day, my curiosity got the best of me and I used my mother's machine without permission. Well to say, it ended up all okay and I didn't hurt myself and was able to start doing more sewing after that. I continued my sewing hobby, making my own clothes. Somewhere along the way I found my way back to quilting and have a great passion for my hobby. I start many projects learning new techniques. I wanted to start sharing my passion with others, so they can enjoy the same passion I have.
I have loved creating a blog so much, that my sewing room has become the main room I am in, after work. My daughter even has her own sewing machine so she can sit and sew with me. Many of the ideas of what I create come from her, she has a very open mind and can see new projects in simple scraps of fabric. I use those ideas and we create great projects together. It's the best mother-daughter bonding ever.
So here's to some great creativity!!
Happy Stitching,
